Software Support Engineer

Role Description

As a Software Support Engineer on the Managed Services team, you’ll be responsible for maintaining and updating multiple large scale innovative software systems that employ sophisticated predictive and optimization models. You’ll collaborate with internal developers, our client services team and counterparts in Fortune 500 companies to troubleshoot issues, design enhancements and develop code changes. Key Accountabilities

  • Conduct deep dive analysis into data and processes to troubleshoot issues
  • Modify software systems as required to improve performance, resolve support issues and add enhancements
  • Develop tools and scripts to automate operational processes
  • Identify and escalate urgent issues that require senior level development expertise
  • Follow Revenue Analytics’ software development processes and best practices
  • Provide and seek feedback on complex software issues from platform/cloud engineering and client management teams
  • Deliver explanations to complicated software issues via status updates to client and/or client management team
  • Respond to technical challenges and system limitations by investigating and recommending alternate approaches
  • Drive client confidence in solutions by effectively communicating & collaborating
  • Maintain updated status and delivery of support tickets using JIRA and JIRA Service Desk
  • Work with client management team to prioritize software support issues appropriately
  • Contribute to the recruiting process
  • Prioritize ethical decision-making over speed or convenience
  • Demonstrate commitment to personal growth, achieving personal goals, and growing knowledge
  • Complete administrative activities in a consistent and timely manner


Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related technical field
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • Ability to proactively manage multiple commitments and tasks
  • Knowledge of Linux/Unix systems a plus
  • Ability to program in Python, Java or C#
  • Knowledge of cloud technologies (particularly AWS) a plus
  • Familiarity with relational database technology
  • Ability to construct SQL statements that filter, join and aggregate data
  • Excel in a highly collaborative team environment with a diverse set of skills and perspectives
  • Willingness to travel 10%
